The Lucid-M8X is a compact, slot-loading, bus-powered FireWire drive capable of writing to eight different types of recordable media, including DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, CD-R, CD-RW, Dual-Layer DVD-R and Double-Layer DVD+R discs. DVD+R and DVD-R Dual Layer technology allows up to 8.5GB of data to be written to a single side of a DVD+R Double Layer disc. MCE's new Lucid-M8X offers unprecedented media interchangeability and over twelve times the capacity of CD-R and CD-RW. The Lucid-M8X reads industry-standard DVD-ROM, DVD-Video, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD+R DL, CD-ROM, CD-R/RW, CD-DA, Photo CD, and Video CD media.
