Panasonic DMW-MS1 Microphone

The MS1 microphone is designed for the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH1 DSLR camera.
The MS1 microphone allows more creative sound recording. It is a compact high quality stereo electret condenser microphone, and features include a foam wind shield and a Wind Cut function to block out background noise.

The MS1 cable has a standard stereo 2.5mm L shaped plug 140mm long, so can also be used with many camcorders from Panasonic or other manufacturers, and simply mounts on a standard hot shoe mount (or Cold Shoe). (A Cold shoe is a contactless hot shoe).
